Our Local Ecclesia
The local Ecclesia meets in the Christadelphian Hall at the corner of St. James Road and Hanley Road, in Shirley, Southampton (see Contact Us page for location map). It was established in 1907, although prior to this an individual sister moving from Birmingham began to hold meetings in various locations from 1887 onwards.
There are at present some 80 members bridging a wide range of ages and occupations, each one bringing his or her skill and capability to the benefit of the body as a whole.
All Members
Baptised members take part in a "Breaking of Bread" memorial service on Sunday mornings at our Hall in St. James Road.
Our Young People
Every encouragement is offered to our young folk to become knowledgeable in God's word. Teaching starts in Sunday school, then progresses to Youth Circle, then, if God wills, as the children become older, they decide to be baptised.
Youth Circles provide the opportunity for a weekly get together to discuss Bible subjects and also take part in external activities. Other activities include participating in our annual camps and youth weekends.
Portsmouth
Similar activities take place in our meeting in Portsmouth (see Contact Us page and Weekly Activities page).
